Hi
I'm trying to get some information about medical emergency flight insurance if somebody needed medical treatment back in the states.
Any ideas who to contact?
thanks

Hi
I...if somebody needed medical treatment back in the states...

Joe : The main thing with air ambulance is that it almost always takes you to the *nearest* facility where that service can be rendered. Some people here think that if they break a leg, they can be airlifted back to Boise. Broken legs can be dealt with here. For other injuries, for example a brain injury requiring possible neurosurgical intervention, usually the closest facility is in Puerto Rico. See DrLove's libelous description of one such facility in the thread that Bob linked. Check your own insurance, the med evac contract, etc.
