Hello everyone!
I am fairly new to the island -(4 months) - and just have to post that had the best time last night! We went to tool time at Gallow's Bay Hardware - there is no way that that something like that could happen in the states - we had such a great time! The food was great! We were offered drinks and there was a live band. Plus, I scored some great deals on an hammer drill and blender. i love living on this island!

Totally agree, had a great time. It could maybe happen in a small town in the states but not in a big town.

I did see Father son/daughter day in Home Depot in Chicago where they supplied materials and tools needed to make a small project. Free and refreshments. Nothing compared to STX though

Newbie, happy to hear of your experience at Gallows Bay. Always nice to hear of some postitives that folks are enjoying. I'm in STT (travel nurse) and listen to a radio station from STX...104,?. Its classic rock and one of the few that comes in well on my car radio. They advertised that event at the Hardware.

had a great time as well, never missed one yet. the drawing is today for the prizes. had a sample of the mango mint sorbet and it was awesome. food was good too. i got a great deal on cooking twine, the next day i was thinking of all of the things i should have bought with my discount.
