Are there any mainlanders that have moved to St Thomas and had to get their own independent medical/dental insurance, if yes, what carrier did you use, I am finding it difficult to find an insurance company that will insure me and my husband on the island (USVI), we are in good health but can't afford to be without insurance!

Here's an online copy of our phone book: viphonebook.com There is insurance available here, but it tends to cost more and cover less than stateside insurance. You will find stateside insurers don't sell insurance here, but there are local insurance brokers who can explain your options.
