Thinking about moving back to the VI. I'm a Medical Assistant in a doctors office. Are positions like this open in STT...or even in STT Hospital....I hear alot about nursing opportunities...but haven't gotten that far in my education yet...just hoping I can find employment in my field.

Hello Dee,
Yes there are medical assistant positions at private doctors offices and clinics; the pay depends on experience and responsibities assigned. You might want to call a few larger doctors offices and clinics and find out whos in charge of hiring and fax your resume. You may get options this way or at least contacts to follow up with once on island. Are you going to join the nursing program at UVI?

Thanks for the ifo. I might eventually go into the nursing program, but for now I just want to make sure that the education that I already have can be used there. I'd hate to not be able to find work in my field yet still have to be paying my school loan every month...LOL
