*Is it easy to rent a scooter or goped for transporation around St Thomas and
St Johns? I was thinking of buying a goped and bringing that with me would it be recommended? Are gas stations
easily accessible?

ya need 150cc at least if you're gonna bring one, 50cc rent for $50.00/day on St Thomas. Gas is around $2.10/gallon & bring a helmet.

Hello Carl,
Yes you can rent a scooter on both islands, like Parrothead noted its not very cheap -in fact some compact cars go for the same price per day as a scooter. A few residents use scooters to get around, a few have motorcycles. Its not the best transporation - during island showers you will get wet, drivers here are not the best at sharing roads with 2 wheeled vehicles, lots of sharp turns, steep hills. Yes gas stations are easily accessiable.
