J met Eve and Island Rat from the board yesterday. Since we live in relatively close proximity, we met for lunch at the beautiful Mon Ami restrauant on Catawba Island (nothing like the islands of the Carribean, but an island of sorts no less). We had a lovely lunch and shared photos and stories of St. Croix, mine being vicariously through JNRhome, and theirs from their numerous first-hand visits. It was nice getting to talk to another couple with basically the same goal as mine...to settle in the Caribbean. I'm sure I'll meet many more of you after my arrival date.

I would like to talk to you before you leave and also with Eve. I am from Toledo and my husband and I are seriousely thinking of moving to STX. I was there in April and fell in love with the Island. We have two children ages 11 & 9. I also have to look into schools, jobs and housing ect. You can e-mail me at [email protected]

feel free to call me as well. We live in Toledo also. you know the code...385-6283. We would enjoy getting together and talking the islands. Melissa and her daughter and us had a great time Sat afternoon. Finally beautiful weather and Mon Ami was looking excellent after the renovations. We have been planning our island goal for about four years now. Much to discuss and in person it is fun...
