while i was not expecting that, you are entitled to your response.

as for me, i am acknowledging a troubled man who also had an incredible talent. it's too bad how his life turned out. perhaps he never had a chance.

I'd like to take this time to remember the other 6700 odd Americans that died today, other than the two that have been mentioned today ad nauseum

It's weird that as of today, Fawcett and Jackson will be forever linked in people's minds...

"May he burn in Hell."

I was under the impression that a bunch of mostly middle age and elderly white people were presented with all of the facts, and found him not guilty on all charges.

RIP MJ... a very misunderstood, troubled man... may you finally get some rest! U rocked my world with good music decade after decade after decade!

Very good observation (about the trial & not guilty) but he was tried and convicted long before the court date.

"Not Guilty" does not equal "Innocent". People are entitled to their opinion.

Let's face it, Michael Jackson had some real serious issues. The dude was truly messed up. I don't care if Thriller was the biggest selling album. I don't care if he could moon walk all the way from Frederiksted to Christiansted and back again.

"It makes no difference if you're black or white"............... A child molester is a child molester.

Enough already.

It amazes me that folks only believe in our beloved judicial system when the verdict substantiates their belief. We weren't there and since most of the allegations went away because they wanted money (If someone molested your child would you take payment for it to go away???????????????????????) the only one that made it to trial was NOT GUILTY after the facts were argued on both sides. I'll say it again... It amazes me that folks only believe in our judicial system when the verdict substantiates their belief.

We all are entitled to our opinions... No one is disputing that.

Enough already!

What normal "parent" would let their child go on play dates with a grown man. They wouldn't. Believe it or not, there are some truly f***** up "parents" out there and they put their children in harms way to profit.

Our judicial system is what it is. Sometimes innocent people are convicted. Sometimes guilty people go free.

Remember Michael Jackson however you want. Have your own opinion, I certainly do. To me his actions spoke volumes over his music. Just because he had the ability to lure in innocent children via unscrupulous parents and then buy them off, it doesn't make it "okay". He soured his own legacy.

All I know is I have been trying to watch the "news" for going on two days now.

Enough is enough...Move on!!!!!

Ah, to be tried in the court of public opinion.

His actions speaks volumes??? So you were there? You saw him molesting those kids? I do not now nor did I ever believe he molested those boys.

Child neglect/endangerment is also a crime, but no cries for them to go to trial??? I wonder why...

MJ will finally get some rest until the day of judgment where we will all be accountable for everything that we've done. I am confident, if he did (which I doubt but we will never know & all we have is our "opinion") he will have to answer for that and if he didn't I hope he's done enough good to finally get some peace because no one's doubting the fact that he was a troubled soul.

In memory of one of the greatest..............................

Poor Michael had a childhood that none of us could possibly imagine. It is not our place to judge him. I remember him as a cute talented kid growing up. He was the Elvis of our time. We should be proud for what he did to the music industry. If he did molest kids then for one....why were these kids allowed to stay with him without parental supervision? and two he was found not guilty.

Must he forever pay for this????

Michael you will always be remembered for your music, and dancing. It ended to soon.

"His actions speaks volumes??? So you were there? You saw him molesting those kids? I do not now nor did I ever believe he molested those boys." ...Eldove 76

Don't be an idiot. Of course I wasn't there.

However, I watched him in a television interview of Michael Jackson boasting about inviting young boys to sleep in his bed. He stated that "sharing your bed is the most loving thing you can do".

I stand by my statement..."To me his actions spoke volumes over his music. Just because he had the ability to lure in innocent children via unscrupulous parents and then buy them off, it doesn't make it "okay". He soured his own legacy."

Don't know if he was guilty or not. I hope he was, because he certainly paid the price, except jail time, as he was treated like he was guilty.

He was a incredibility talented person. I liked most of his songs especially in the period of Billy Jean and Thriller.

"May he burn in Hell."

Dear lady I'm guessing you were as surprised and dismayed by my comment as I am yours.
I have enjoyed your posts as a voice of reason on this board.
Why include race into your comments?
I have said nothing on this board to indicate my comment was racially motivated. In fact in the school thread I just offered a cash donation and my physical labor to help with school clean up in a place I will never have children (mine are grown) and is statistically around 85% non white where I to care about skin color. I am voluntarily moving my fiancee and myself to a place where we will be a small minority. A place where so far we have been treated with respect and kindness and have given the same.

Fame and money can buy one out of all kinds of trouble. Middle aged and elderly white people are just as susceptible as anyone else to said influences. If I see repeated clouds of smoke I must conclude there has been a fire - even if the fire is never witnessed.

I do apologize for my offensive remark. My grandmother would have been very disappointed with me. She always taught me to say something nice about a person or say nothing at all. Michael Jackson was an immensely talented person. Too bad his legacy will forever be tainted by his behavior off stage.

Mea maxima culpa.

Mike

i do not feel that it is appropriate for adolescent or prepubescent boys or girls to sleep in a bed with adults. that was very questionable activity. i feel that it is overly stimulating on more than one level.

parents who see nothing wrong with permitting their children to sleep at the home of a person who sees nothing wrong with creating these circumstances, need to rethink themselves.

i truly believe that michael was asexual, and that he was arrested in his development by a variety of emotional traumas he suffered as a child and as a young man. he never wanted to grow up, much like some anorexics. he literally stopped in time, but he kept aging. he was also surrounded by people who fed his addictions and eccentricities. if you did not, i take it you were fired, so if you cared, you'd be out of there.

the whole thing is quite sad. i don't think he abused any of the children, but i do believe that he was not an ideal companion for any child without supervision... he was, literally, a child himself.

mega talent, which is what we all honor and cannot be disputed, is behind all of the sentiment. he is my contemporary, and part of my life by way of the music that he created. i am thinking that if my life were examined so thoroughly, someone could find something for which to hate me... we all do things to other people outside of the white-hot spotlight for which we may not be proud.

wrongs are wrongs, and while we usually strive to do well, we all commit them.

I don't consider zero tolerance for child molesters a stupid ideal. The innocence of a child is precious. It should be protected, preserved, and held in the highest regard.

That being said...Today is my Grandchild's 2ND Birthday. We are all going to the water park. The sight of me in my swimming suit (with shorts and a tank top over it of course) should be enough to thwart any would be child predator.
