Mid-island STX

Hi All,

I am in the early stages of considering a move to STX... I would have a job lined up and "modest" housing provided in Kingshill. I've browsed back in the forums for quite some distance and haven't seen much mention of the area... I'm not sure what to make of this :p Looking at the satellite maps it seems awfully close to the refinery and airport... plus being mid-island it might not have much help from the trade winds. Anyone have opinions on the area? A lovely view isn't necessary so long as it's a relatively safe area and that I'm close enough to water that I could go after work (and not be choked by airport and refinery fumes). Thanks for any tips or info!

smirgol,
Kings Hill is by 663 and 70 (Queen Mary Hwy). Your far enough from the Airport and Plant,. Lots of Hovensa employees live in that area. A lovely view is going to depend on how your neighbor keeps his property. You can count on chickens walking about and roosters waking you around 5:00AM. Your about 15 minutes away from some nice beaches. Good Luck! Regarding safety call the VI Police and ask them about the neighborhood.
