And as the Daily News reported (they at least follow up), "However, Disney Cruise Lines spokeswoman Rebecca Peddie said she knew nothing about any discussions between Mapp and Holz or a planned public-private partnership.

"We're always exploring new options," Peddie said. "But we don't have anything to share about St. Croix at this time.""

The BVI worked out a deal with Disney and NCL which they say is a game changer and the envy of the Caribbean. I guess Mapp is hoping to do something similar for St Croix. It would be nice if he could make it happen.

Making the Virgin Islands a safe, clean, attractive, friendly, affordable destination would go a long way to attracting more tourists.

I don't know about STX but in St. Thomas, the VI government needs to get the trash off the roadsides and fix the darned roads, once and for all, which are pothole ridden and have no lines on the roads and are completely ill lit at night. Those things alone would make it more attractive for tourists and locals, alike.

Commit the owner of Island Roads to doing a proper job instead of the cheap dig and patch routine; stop shifting Federal road funds into deep side pockets ...

He's got a FOREVER JOB, OT!

I love how they fix a road, which can take months and more in many cases, then dig it up shortly after, then don't return it to the good condition.

Somebody's making good money and it's not the people that are driving on the roads who must pay for the maintenance and upkeep on their vehicles.

Ahh for a smooth, well lit road with lines.

I have a theory that there is only so much asphalt on island. Therefore to repair a pot hole, you must do a pot hole transplant. You must dig a pot hole to get the asphalt so you can fill in one in another area!:D

Quite a reasonable theory, if you ask me!;)
