Good Morning everyone. I've been planning my move for about a year now. I will graduate from college this Sept and will be moving down late oct. I have found many usefull sites such as the St Thomas times journal newspaper. I'm finding classified there for 1 bedroom apt. around 500. IS this accurate. I am a "avid" waiter and bartender. Currently working at The Olive Garden as a waiter. Any leads on restruants would be helpful. I've been looking at Black beards as a place of employment, but until I get on the islands jobs ar kinda difficult. I would like to live in Charlotte Amalie. So a job and an apartment in the area would be key. Anyway, I am finding myself rambling. Any information or words of encouragement would be helpful. My phone number is 412 443 0938 if you would like to talk. Thanks again.

Derek

Blackbeard's has closed their restaurant. There are tons of restaurants that seem to be always hiring. You should have no problem.

The St. Thomas Times journal? I have never heard of that. Could you list the website for me?

Derek,
Noche's is advertising for servers. Decent place and has co-pay insurance.

Shawn: I'm betting that Derek meant the Virgin Islands Daily News- www.virginislandsdailynews.com. The other on-line presence is www.onepaper.com, The Source.

Derek: You are right that you will pretty much need to be here to find wait work. Make a beeline to the Community Health Clinic at the RLS Hospital to get your Health Card- you will be two giant steps ahead in your job search! 😉 You might talk to Ronnie (see message above for e-mail) about living quarters in town!!

Nicole,

www.stthomastimesjournal.com is for a town in Canada and not St. Thomas USVI.

Just a heads-up before you book a flight! 🙂
