Hey Two friends and I are moving down January 5Th!! (from Buffalo- extreme climate change) extremely excited but as of now having a hard time locating a nice place to rent out- any tips on good bar areas (since I'm a bartender) any tips and advice is greatly appreciated!!

Read all the moving stories...and be prepared to stay in a hotel for the first coupla weeks....very hard to rent a place here from off-island....do a PMV....and bring at least 7 grand......

A PMV is a pre-move visit. *-) There are bars all over the island. Don't rent a place without seeing it first. You may need to pay first & last month's rent + security & if the utilities aren't included, figure deposits for Electricity (WAPA) & the phone company & cable in on the amount you will have to bring with you.
