I am moving in march. I was online in Sept. with plans for may. I am looking to rent a home, buy a vehicle, play music and enjoy not missing the rat race. Any help would be appreciated. Several people were very kind when I was visiting the forum last. javascript:editor_tools_handle_smiley() Later, enjoy.

Whatever you were told before is still the same.
If you have any specific questions, ask away.

AT&T and Sprint are the two major providers on St. Croix. Personally we preferred AT&T, but it really depends primarily upon where you want to live which provider is better. Both of them have stores on island. If you want to get a phone before you leave TX (I moved from the ATX myself!) you could get one from either provider and it will work the same on island. I got my AT&T phone in Texas, still have it, with my 512 area code.

I have to keep one of each. Lots of dead spots. And service failures.

I am still keeping our ATT with Arkansas number. Have had no problems. My house manager has Sprint and I will only communicate with him through texting for when I talk to him he always breaks up no matter even if he is sitting in my driveway and I have full bars and a ste line to ATT's tower. ATT doesn't work for me on some north side locations. Rent is cheap on STX and the columns in paper are getting larger as the season is rolling along and still have tons of vacancies. If you are not doing a PMV, I would highly recommend renting a room before deciding where to live...it does make a difference as to just how far away you want to live from town or shopping areas.
