I will possibly be moving to St. Croix sometime around December for work. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea about renting an apartment or a house down there. I will be from 6 months to a year and was just trying to get an idea on rent prices and things like that. Any help is greatly appreciated thank you.

Price is variable and depends on location, furnished or unfurnished, utilities/cable/internet included or not and a veritable slew of related factors. Check the drop-down menus top of this page, classified forum here, classified advertising on the VI Daily News (which you can access online) and craigslistvi to get an idea of what's available. The usual caveat applies - rent nothing unseen. If your move pans out, find a temporary place to stay until you can figure out the lay of the land and decide which area best suits you. Good luck.

Depends on your needs and location.
What are you looking for?
Studio, 1 bedroom, furnished, views, proximity to shopping, work, beaches, etc?

Getting a year's lease would be easier.

Thanks everyone for your help. I was looking to spend around 1500 in rent and was just curious if that was a realistic figure for either a one bedroom apartment or a small house down there.

That's a very good budget for STX.
