my wife and i have 3 small dogs and are looking for a house and/or an apartment /condo to rent for about a year.

There have been several advertised on the board recently - use the 'search' facility at the top of the page. Are you on or off-island? What is your price range, where do you want to live?

yes we are off island. florida to be exact. we will be down in september for the move.

Its good to get an idea for prices you are looking too early. A month in advance at most. And you have to be prepared to snatch up a good rental. And most importantly you need to be on island to get a good deal. It's hard to find someone who will rent to somone whom is not on island and harder still to find somone who will rent to you with you being off island and having pets. Unless of coarse you have a large budget then the realtors will be fighting over you 😉 (a big budget being at least $3k and up).
There are deals to be had but you have to be here with checkbook in hand to snatch them up as soon as they go on market or by networking and finding someone who's leaving a deal of an apartment/home.

Betty, I agree with your remarks above. My opinion is it is going to difficult at best to find a place with 3 dogs (even small ones). There are very few (if any) condos that will accept multiple dogs. Good luck!
