I am planning to move to St. Thomas Island in the next 6 months. How do I go about finding employment and an apartment to rent??

Please advise.

You have to move here to do that successfully! Believe me, employers get requests by email and phone all the time. You got to commit by coming!

Dyan: I echo Ronnie's words. What kind of employment do you want? It is best to come for a week- two week stay with the express purpose of figuring these things out (and deciding if you really want to live here!) Good luck!

I also agree with what Ronnie and Candace have said.
Employers seem reluctant to discuss matters with you until you have demonstrated your committment to relocating.
So, my husband and I went down on a "working-vacation" and set up as many formal and informal meetings as possible.
Well worth the investment.
Good luck!
