I plan on moving to st. thomas in august and am from the states. I was wondering if anyone knows if an american citizen must obtain a work visa when moving to the USVI. Thanks for your help,
Sarah

I don't think that you need a work visa if you are a citizen
the info is here: http://www.usvi.net/us-ins/

No work visa. You need proof of citizenship, just like getting a job in the states. A passport or driver's license & social security card cover this. Someone mentioned it on another post. Just to fill out an I-9 form.
