Living on the East End, I get my mail at the mail service in Red Hook.

Where do folks on the North side get their mail?

Hmmmmmmmm, can Island Paul be thinking of moving to the North side after the get-together at Bryans introduced him to that piece of Paradise for the first time? Hmmmmmmmmm, maybe so!

Cool, now if we could only find a locksmith that could open the door and try to start a potential blue island car with two flat tires?!!!!

See I guess that's why the North side must be better somehow than the East - I don't have the LUXURY of a "mailbox on my road". None of us do on the south side of the road at the stoplight top of the hill outside Red Hook.

There IS one across the street at the stoplight..................but heh, there are more homes on this side, so why do we get short changed???? Who should I call???? LOL

I know people on the north side who get their mail at mailboxes on the road near Havensight. I believe you can apply for the ones across the road, if you wish. I suppose there is still a wait for post office boxes and mail boxes?

Yes, mailman told me I could have one all the way over there, but my question remains, why none on this side of the road? More houses here than over there??????

Hello Paul,

Not everyone on the Northside gets road side mail delivery. Not sure about the East and West End; I had called the post office to ask about this however the couple times I called in the last few weeks I haven't been able to reach the correct person. You might try; call the Sugar Estate Post Office and ask for someone in road side mail delivery and ask about East End...

Also population wise East End and Northside's numbers are close. (2000 census)

East End: 7,672
North Side: 8,712

Not sure about number of houses...

When I had spoken to one person at the post office who could to some degree help; she said that the post office was working on expanding their road side delivery but she referenced only the West End when she made that statement.

Definately call the Post Office and see if they can shed some light on the subject for you.
