Music downloads

Recommendations for a legal, virus free music download site? I would like to use Amazon, but unfortunately they won't allow downloads with my BBVI connection. I used to use Rhapsody when I had AT&T, but now that I'm using BBVI, Rhapsody has detected that I'm out of the country.
Looking for suggestions, please.

Just a thought (courtesy of chefnoah)... Try installing HotSpot. It changes your IP address to a stateside one. I've had great luck with streaming videos, and it's free!

Popflops idea is great, although I've never had a problem downloading content through Amazon or Itunes on my bbvi acct.

I would recommend opening your control panel and making sure your computer location is set as 'United States' rather than any of the Virgin Islands options, and restarting your computer. See if that makes a difference...

good luck.

Amazon used to block but no longer does, at least on Innovative. Apparantly BBVI now has this straightened out with them as well based on posts here. I haven't actually tried yet with Choice though.

IMO Amazon is really the best place to get music from as they are plain vanilla MP3's that will play on any device. While Itunes has removed DRM not all devices will play the files you download from them as they are encoded in a less standard format.

Hmm, I don't know how you do it rks, I'm still getting the message from Amazon

"We are sorry...
We could not process your order. The sale of MP3 Downloads is currently available only to US customers located in the 48 contiguous states, Alaska, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. "

I called BBVI and they said as far as they know there is no arrangement yet. So I can't understand why some people can do it and others can't? I checked the settings in control panel and I am on United States not Virgin Islands.

I agree with Sean, Amazon is the best place to download,

popflops, can you prove a link to hotspot?

Thanks for all your suggestions,

Here's the prior thread on a similar topic, with a link to Hotspot. I've used Hotspot, and it works.
