I'm moving to STT in about three weeks and I've been trying to find some information but I've had no luck. I'm a huge pistons fan and I was wondering if NBATV is available down there? I'd hate to miss every single non national tv game.

I have Dish Network satellite and that's not an option on the basic dish that I have, and I don't think that the local Cable TV channel covers this station although other responders would be better able to answer that question.

But, being Devil's Advocate, if missing "every single non national tv game" is really that important to you, then you're in for a big surprise in not only that but in many different areas of living in the Virgin Islands.

Coming down here to live necessitates rolling with the punches, being adaptable and re-assessing your priorities. My best bet is that you can read about the game the following day in the local newspapers (maybe a very brief summary) or get the results via what television network is available to you once you reach or else go on-line - maybe!

This probably hasn't helped you too much but others may have more insight. Cheers.

Yes nbaTV is available from Innovative Cable in ST Thomas channel 125. But only if you subscribe to the digital Package Approx. $45/mo.
Here is their website: www.Cabletv.vi

Also, I believe The other cable company, Choice Communications has NBATV as well. But I am not sure of their rates.

If you want to see every sigle non-televised game, you might have to go with Dish network and sign up for a whole season package.

Hope this helps, Mike

And if you go with Dish you have to buy the dish(es) and you have to be in a residence whose landlord will allow the dish installation which, even if she or he agrees to, depends on whether or not a signal is available at that particular location. Which likewise applies to Choice Communications and Innovative. Your dollar, m'son!

And if you're moving into a rental unit you might get lucky and the landlord just might already be hooked into a big satellite system which you might be able to hook into via a separate receiver. Most likely not.

As I said, priorities do change when you really start living here and your present pre-moving problem/questions are a big DUH,

I feel your pain...my hubby is simply agog that he will be missing most of the World Cup games that do not involve Team USA. And Dish requires the big 6' dish in order to even purchase the program by PPV.

I think though that your future boss (congrats!) has Dish. Feel free to ask him, you should have already surmised that his SUPER mellow.

Hello Salty,

Raja Bell was born on St. Croix, moved to the states I think in his early teens.
