Have some guys coming down to do some heavy construction and will need a barge to move heavy equipment, concrete etc. Anyone know where to start to look for that kind of thing.

On St Croix, Neighborhood Shipping still pops up occasionally...they'd be worth a call. Subbase usually has a workboat fleet that can find a barge when necessary. I believe the Jacksons have moved away, but they had a tug ("Lakota") and construction barges and cranes available which may still be in the area. Lakota now works out of St Martin, IIRC. San Juan will certainly have what you need. Guayama often has ocean tugs because of the refinery there.

Lakota is at Nanny Cay on Tortola, owned and operated by Kevin and Becky Rowlette, Huskie Salvage.

PM me if you need contact details.
