I have some dirty furniture and rugs and wanted to steam clean them. I know that I've seen the machines for rent before, but I can't remember where.
Anyone know where I can rent a decent machine?

Have you taken a look online at steam cleaners? You can get decent hand-held and upright steamers for very little and it may be worth your while to check them out. Amazon has a slew of them and ordering from them is very simple, their service highly reliable from my experience. If you have Pueblo on STX check with them as I used to rent from them on STT years ago until they closed down the store which was close to me. Even back then it cost about $30 for the day for a small model and it was a pain schlepping the thing back and forth. I ended up buying my own as the prices went down but that was a heavy-duty one which I used in my business and I subsequently sold it when I closed shop.
