Any ideas?

I don't want to haul and pay for shipping every single file I have in my possession when I move. Just want the last 3-5 years of files and important docs.

Will they come to house?
Thanks.

Spenceley Office Solutions, located downtown on the Waterfront (340) 774-2190; they offer paper shredding. They charge by weight. Not sure about coming to the house but ask them and share what you find out.

Maybe Office Max might offer it too?

Thanks Islander for the information about bulk paper shredding service on Stt. I will keep it for future reference.

Spencely owns a company called Capitol Records...they do shredding and can bring a shredder truck to your premises.

I spoke to Rick this morning.
They charge $1.50 per lb to shred.
All arranged. I'll call him when everything is ready.
Great not to worry about private and personal information getting into the wrong hands in dumpsters or landfill.

Thank you all for the info

In case you were wondering, cause I was:

The short answer is that 500 sheets of bond paper with a size of 17" by 22" have a weight of 20 pounds. The manufacturer would cut a sheet that big into four letter-size sheets, so a 500-sheet ream of 20-pound bond paper weighs 5 pounds.

They'll pick up my stuff to shred.
Didn't ask if they do that for every one but Rick lives nearby.
They also have a shredder truck if you've got lots more than I do.
