What new car dealers are on the island? Also, had anyone ever leased a car there? Just wondering the easiest way to get a car when we move.

Buying new: There are 2 dealers that sell just about everything. They do not finance. Pay cash or go to a bank to get a loan.

Leasing: I've never seen an ad advertising cars for lease.

Some rental car companies may lease them so one can always check.
I don't know about STX but they do here in STT.

How did we know that loucypher would pop up and say that?! Dude has a radar for anything about that company haha.

BTW: didn't Caribbean Automart declare bankruptcy and was it going out of business? Does anyone know where that stands?

Can't understand why. Such an honest friendly place to do business.

When I moved down in January hoping to get financed for a car, banks on island would not finance unless you have lived here for a year. Be prepared for that.

I have read that USAA bank is widely accepted on STX, right?

We use USAA and have closed all local accounts. We have no issues using USAA.
