I don't know which island you're on but you might try calling a couple of landscaping companies. Depending on what sort of lawnmower you have you might find (as I did) that simply buying a new one is less of a chore!

Look for a place that does small engine or generator repairs.
They may be able to help.

Reliable Rentals works on Stihl... not sure about others... one of the other rental places generally only works on it's own equipment, or that sold out of Gallows Bay hardware...

I've seen flyers posted now and then... I would've thought you might find something here on a search, just get creative with the wording you look for.

try the shindowa dealer in Fredericksted. He repairs lots of garden equipment.He is near K mart
