Let us know how the $2 store is.
I just went to a stateside dollar store and they're pretty amazing.
I doubt the one the would there in islands would be able to compete.
In fact the prices for groceries and other items here in FL just blows my mind. 20¢ for an ear of fresh corn, 44¢ a lb. for bananas, etc.
9¢ per kwh! Asked a friend that goes back and forth between FL and CA about leaving their central air on all the time when they're away. The cost is very little $50-$60 per month. When I asked what they do about outages, they said they just don't have them! Must be nice.

I was actually impressed. It was very busy but definitely some good buys for $1.75.
