WICO applied for permits yesterday per local news. The harbor will be mighty crowded if this one gets built. If they bring in more ships, where will the visitors go? Can the island handle the increased numbers?

This has been in the works for a couple of years and the new pier will accommodate two cruise ships and remove some of the clutter from the inner and outer anchorages where ships now have to park on heavy cruise ships days. The main pier has been extended several times over the years to accommodate the larger ships now in service and a secondary pier is a sensible industry solution.
