Hi. I just moved to STX. And I was looking for restaurants around the island. I have found out that there building Pollo Tropical in Sunny isles. Which was my favorite restaurant in Florida. And then I found out a huge construction building located somewhere next to Village Mall.  And I’m curious, what are they’re building there? It looks like a new supermarket.

cool, didnt know they were building a pollo tropical . i would have preferred a panera.

that big abandoned building was supposed to be a walmart type store, something to do with cars and a few restaurants.

btw, we have great restaurants down here.  there is a thread about restaurants on here, you can dig that up and read it

I think the owner of sea side is opening that up, supposed to be a grocery store, various shops, etc from what I remember.  They are still working on it from what I saw a few days ago.

Its the same guy that owns Plaza Extra and Seaside Markup, adding to his empire. Personally, I will never shop at his new mega rip off. I already go out of my way to avoid shopping at Seaside and will never use his new gas station either. I can only imagine the traffic chaos that will engulf the area once he opens over there. I'll stick with online shopping.

@vicanuck I agree, the only time I shop at sea side is if I need that one thing, but I usually go to espressway, same prices, sometimes less there.  Same with Plaza east, avoid that dirty place.
