I just saw the huge metal ball stuffed with wood at Cane Bay for a bonfire tonight. Anyone have any details on the event? What kind of "scene" is it?

Was the metal ball about six feet in diameter, with all kinds of cool patterns cut into it? If so, then it's probably Corin's. If you don't know Corin, you're missing out. He's a gentle giant from Louisana who has lived on STX for over a decade and is renowned for throwing the best parties. He hasn't thrown as many in recent years, though. The last one he threw was *surprise* on New Year's Eve last year.

I'm off-island now, else I'd be going. That's assuming, of course, that the ball is indeed his.

Yep, that's the ball. Really looks cool. I'll bet it's a sight when it's all ablaze.

Sounds like we should consider stopping in tonight.
