I saw the Times Square sign saying the biggest family event. What family can stay out until 2 a.m.?

You'd be surprised how late EVERYONE stays up for the holidays here.............parties, parties, contests for kings, queens, princess, prince, carnival & Christmas festivals...............no one sleeps from T-day thru mid Jan.

I have to agree with Marlene, I watch the Fireworks, Kiss my Bride of 40 years, Bang my pots together and go to bed. This is all accomplished by 12:03 AM.
