NFL in STX
I am relocating to Stx in Oct. I was wondering if the local cable providers show any american football on T.V. I know there are satelite dishes on some places. I can trade the brutal North winter for the sun and surf of STX., but I can't miss my football

I am on STT, but I believe the cable package from Innovative is the same on STX. Yesterday I watched the (my)Pats beat the Jets, Green Bay and Philly.....And Dallas and NY Giants...some channel surfing was required, but I managed to see them all...Just now getting settled in for 2 Monday night games...The beer is on Ice and the snacks are ready......Oh.....one minor thing....last year we lost the Super Bowl when the Innovative system went out....I am sure it was nothing more than the cable company letting me know they were still in charge...
Seriously though....plenty of games on every week.

I'm on St. Croix...just got here from Massachusetts...great to see the Pats win with the passing game! Finally - some weapons for Brady.

That's good news. I just hope not everyone on the island are not Pat fans, that would be depressing being a Jets fan myself. See everyone soon.

Hey Scott.....I suppose I should warn you.....This is part of Red Sox Nation.....
I think it depends on your cable package.
We get about 30 channels at our place via satellite.
I channeled surfed around on Sunday afternoon and couldn't find any NFL games.
The networks I was getting were carrying golf and baseball instead.
But I did get to watch the Monday Night Football games via ESPN last night.
So I think it depends . . .
Red Sox nation thats just great. I guess I have to bring down my Yankee pinstripes. I will be making a pilgrimage and convert all you Red Sox "idiots". Good I'll be down just in time for the play-off ousting of the Saux. See ya down there.

Don't worry Scott there are a few New York strong down here, you just have to avoid the Sox's dens of iniquity, I've found Duggan's Reef rife with them on the east end.
Giant's , Steelers, and Yankee's at the Golden Rail. But were not a happy bunch.
Yankees at Rumrunners - they even have the t-shirt "My favorite teams are the Yankees and anyone who beats the Red Sox".
the reverse shirt is available at Rum Runners and probably at Duggans. One previous owner of Rhythms at Rainbow also was a huge RedSox fan and Yankee rooters went there in those days at their own risk.
I enjoy watching any NFL game on TV when it's snowing, I appreciate STX such much more. Doe's anyone remember, one of the networks had a special on the "Violent World of Sam Huff" Linebacker Number 51 NY Giants. They put a microphone in his helmet and you could hear the grunts and groans and conversations of the players in the game. I'd like to see the NFL do that in every game today, but maybe it's a language problem. Oh well "GO Blue".
Hey !How about that Blue yesterday! 12 sacks. I did say 12 didn't I.
I almost forgot, When McNabb was interviewed at the end of the game all he could say was, ah, ah, ah unlike ha, ha, ha. I'M excited "GO Blue"!
