Are you asking about tourists, or young residents? On STX I would say there is very little or no bar scene for young tourists. For young people who live here and work in hospitality, there are several bars where people congregate.

When our three sons between 22 - 30 visit us on STX they have no complaints. Club 54, Brew Pub, Parrots Cove, Deep End Bar, Chicken Charlies, Cheeseburgers, Sharkeys, etc have enough to keep them entertained and out to the wee hours.

Since anyone born in the USVI is a American, most of the patrons are Americans!

I'm not sure where that comment comes from. There are a lot of bars around Christiansted and when people visit us they love hanging out "downtown". There are many that are early evening bars and a few that go on into the morning hours too. The most popular with our young guests have been Brew Pub, Angry Nates, Stixx, Bongos and Club 54 for in town bars and Sharkeys, Chicken Charlies & Cheeseburgers for "out of town" bars. And of course the Sunday afternoon and evening favorite out west is Rainbow Beach (whatever the current name of the bar/restaurant is) and Norma's Domino Club - just have a designated driver!
STX isn't Cancun with Senior Frogs (or whatever) - if it was we probably wouldn't be here - but there is plenty of fun to be had.

The comment comes from an older woman whose idea of staying out late is Tuesday Trivia at Chicken Charlies. LOL. I agree that there are many fun places and maybe I'm showing my age, but would you really send young tourists to Bongos or Club 54? I guess what I'm trying to say is if they are looking for Senor Frogs or South Beach Miami, they are going to be disappointed.

Eight years ago my Adult Children said Club 54 was the Bomb, Today they say it Rocks and the patrons flow into the street. "Me Tink for true "if you're sleeping you wouldn't know!

P.S. The Bomb and Rock are good tings! go figure.

This thread took a slight turn, as they often do, and that's where you get the good info.:)
But, the answer to your question, tgilley, is St. Thomas.

OMG the Domino club this past Sunday night was AWESOME!! But please if your gonna drink the mamawana juice have a driver!!

Wherever Kurt Schindler is playing turns into a party!! Ive seen him play at brew pub, parrots cove and Domino club, which is my fav so far!

There is tons of nightlife on the island, but as previos posters said, it certainly isnt cancun/senior frogs...

Stx doenst have as many bars as stt but I think we have a decent night life. We usually get together with all of our friends at least once a week for a big night out. It may be downtown or north shore or disco night at tuto benne, but even though you go to the same places over and over its usually a totally different experience. No matter which island you live on the quality of your night life will depend greatly on the quality of your friends. They tend to become more like family here as most of us are without our family. We spend quite a few nights a month just having each other over to each others houses for dinner and cards. You kind of have to make your own night life on these islands.
