why don't we just pay the VI senators the same rates as similar states pay their elected officials, based upon per capita!!!
We could probably save a ton of money each year.

The Legislature sets its own pay - There was a public referendum that the voters passed that would have reduced the # of Senators to 9 - ------ 3 less on each STT and STX - it was never implemented by the Legislature.

Our senators are over paid and far to many for the size of our population. And they have big budgets to pay people they don't need.

Our governor makes more than than any governor in the main land with 1/1000 of the population and 1000000 of the the responsibility.

Our government supports more people (read friends and family) than on the main land.

This will never change.

We are doomed!
