Cable has it's own set of problems!!!
Like sitting at the Innovative office for hours to exchange a box out, only to find out the problem wasn't the box. That one I hear all the time.

The solutions to seeing the world series have been posted by many.....

It always seems that when there is a sporting event that somehow we don't get it or some programing steps in. Always PR is blamed. I would think, that if these people care about the customer they would make sure that it happens without a problem. They might even use that new thing called email to tell you where it is.

Blame PR.
Blame Dish for listening to PR.
We have so few subscribers over here compared to PR.

We don't have enuf of a subscriber base compared to PR.

The real culprit is FCC or the Networks.

Because Dish provides "local" networks new subscribers can't get NYC/SF from AA Direct.

I don't understand why we can't have both local and national feeds!

MLB sells the rights for every market individually.

FOX buys the rights to the ALCS and the World Series for the 50 US States. For whatever reason(s) the FOX outlet in PR doesn't buy those rights and instead WAPA purchases them from MLB.

Because WAPA is mostly a Spanish language station DISH doesn't offer it in the USVI.

For DMA and Copyright purposes the USVI and PR are separate markets. The way that MLB treats us is no different than how we are treated by Netflix, Amazon, etc.

As for getting DISH to help us out I tried for two years and DISH doesn't seem to care as the USVI is a very small market. MLB doesn't seem to care either as they have never responded to any correspondence I sent them pointing out the issue.

We used to subscribe to AAD, but since we can get local channels through dish I figured why pay twice? So I guess this is why but bot sure works series is worth paying the extra $$ just for that alone. I'm a fan, but not a fanatic. Huh?

Good luck with DirecTv. They are now out of Trinidad and have no local support.
