non-profit organizations and/or social services on st. john???

i am a social worker who works with abused/neglected foster children who will be looking to relocate to st. john this summer. what simililar work might be available on the island? are there any social service and/or child abuse/adoption agencies on st. john?any input would be appreciated.

You might give Human Services a call: 340-776-6334. I would imagine that whatever they offer there is limited. Alternately, you might find work on St Thomas. Human Services here is 774-0930. Interestingly, there was an ad in the Saturday paper for a probation officer to work with juvenile delinquent clients. Again, you will probably not have much success applying for these types of jobs until you are here in the flesh.
