I'm planning to move to St Croix the beginning of july, but cant seem to find any rental properties that are suitable. There will be 4 of us looking for a 3 bedroom house, condo or apartment. We have some money to get started but really cant afford to pay more than 1600 a month at most.

Do more properties open up durring the summer months because of off season tourism?

You can find a small three bedroom house or condo for under $2000 per month. (more likely a condo) July is a good time to find such a rental as there is less demand. Do not expect to tie something up before you arrive. Bring enough money to stay at a higher rate ($60-$80 dollars a night per room) for a week or two. Than spend all you're time looking for the right place. Remember jobs are not as easily found during that time because it is the beginning of the slower season.
