I like the bait cars that some police squads use. Where they have cameras inside and film every second of ensuing hilarity.

They have the ignition connected to a remote control and once the thieves drive away they cut the power and lock the doors. The thieves are trapped inside and everything caught on video. I could watch those videos all day!

Noah, please send me a link to these. I could use the distraction!

Well, there's baitcar.com they have a video there.

I think I saw the other footage on one of those cop shows, or "Most shocking police chase" shows that lower your IQ by the minute.

I also went to YouTube and searched for bait car video...that came up with some good results.

Yes, we could bust a lot of people here with various stings, if all parts of the justice system would work.
- bait cars, for both car theft and snatching stuff out of the back seat
- bait drunk tourist late at night
- bait fence operation for stolen goods
- drug/weapons buy and bust

But we let go so many of the people that we catch, it's not like catching them is the problem.

In total agreement with STXBob. Until we have a judicial system willing to enforce the laws and sentence those convicted, all the evidence in the world is irrelevant.

It's "catch and release" fishing at its finest 🙂
