Im just wondering if the boat from the final scene of Shawshank Redemption is still here on St Croix. Does anyone have any knowledge about the boat?

Seem to remember hearing through the coconut telegraph that someone found a man who knew how to get things done, bought the worthless old thing, fixed it up like new and took his beachfront hotel guests out charter fishing...

Heard that too. Heard also that he's a secretive type who doesn't talk much about his past, and for some strange reason, he and his close friend seem to think they live in Mexico.

Great movie made in 1994.
If it was left in St. Croix twenty + years ago, I doubt they'd be very much left of that old wooden boat by now.
