No more trip counters we are here. We got the bank account thing handled yesterday. We met up with some friends last night in Red Hook for Happy hour. Today it's Cost U Less and car shopping.

Hi Captain Jay,
Congrats! Your blog may be a big help as we plan our move. Your 'to do list' is a great model with some items we might have missed. We have a buyer for our home in Connecticut and if all goes well we will arrive at St Thomas before the end of Feb. We are still negotiating post home inspection items. Perhaps we can meet for a drink when we arrive? It is below freezing here in Ct and I can see by the Magens bay webcam that it is 82 right now there. Too much to do before then, but we will get er done.
Have a great day - Jammin Jerry Z & Mel

Trade,
I hope we got a decent deal to. We are buying a used Toyota from the Toyota dealer here. It's in the budget range seems to be a decent car and they came highly recommended. Having them do the title work doesn't bother me any either.

Jerry we would be glad to meet you for a drink. Give me a pm when it gets a little closer. If you think of any specific stuff you have a question about don't hesitate to ask.

Jay

IMO Toyotas make great island cars & I've said before I've been happy with the service I've gotten from the dealer so I hope you got a good one. I can't remember, have you found a place to live?

Welcome! I hope all your requirements go smoothly, I ran into some delays from innovative but we solved the issues over time. When or if you choose them for your cable, be prepared and be patient. Take some time to learn the back roads around Havensight, next week we will have a high volumne of ships and getting stuck in traffic isnt fun.

Let us know how you make out !

Jay: I am looking forward to your review of i-phone use. Did you get a 340 number? And does it work? I know it is your day off, just report whenever you get around to it! 😉

East Ender,
The phone is working great, but I still have the old number from the states on it. After talking to Jeff yesterday on St John and the conversation that I had with Josh after he sent his back, I am not sure we are going to change the number. I am considering just transferring my stateside number to Deb's phone because of some business contacts that I need to maintain at home and just getting a second plan down here for a local number. Jeff just gave up and bought a phone for down here on the cheapest plan and has all of the calls forwarded to his state side Iphone. ATT and Apple still don't have it figured out and you get a different answer every time you call them. The last conversation I had with the relocation department said that all they had to do was send me a new sim card programmed for down here. Now if I call them back it's just as likely that I will get one of the other ten answers that I received when we bought it. The salesman at Toyota here that sold us a car just ordered one and had to have it shipped to a friend in the states to activate it, with a state side number then ship it to him. It really is a shame as the phone is great and works well on most of the island.
