I am going to be coming over to STT next Wednesday 7/8 just for one day for work. I should have my work completed by lunchtime and will have until the 5 o'clock flight back to STX. Tell me STT folks, where should I have lunch and what should I do to kill time until my flight back home?

Right in middle of town in a charming alley way known as Palm Passage.

There's also Tavern on the Waterfront.

There are really lots of fine choices.
Hard to pick just one!

If you like conch in butter sauce with fungi and plantains, my favorite is the Petite Pump Room.

That's on the waterfront next to where seaplanes come in.
Upstairs of the Tortola ferry terminal.

Bring your swim suit and get a cab after lunch to Magens Bay on Northside or head down to Lindberg Beach by airport. Next door is the Emerald Beach resort. Lunch there is so- so.

Thanks Alana33. I rented a car for the day so I could do things on my own timeline if I go too far outside of town.

Conch in butter sauce is one of my favorites so I may give the Pump Room a try. 🙂

You're welcome.

Gladys' s in Royal Dane Mall also has conch in butter sauce but I like the Pump Rooms better.

They're really a lot of good places to eat.
In Frenchtown my favorites are Hook, Line and Sinker and Twisted Cork.

Probably best to walk into town from courthouse if eating in town as parking tends to be hard to find. There's a paid parking lot on waterfront across from the district court.

Go by car to the Pump Room.
There's usually parking available but have quarters to feed the meters.

Enjoy your lunch and your day.

Make sure your rental car agency give you a road map!
You'll need it.

You should stay in town and check out Magic Ice Gallery on the Waterfront. Unique attraction. Only one of its kind in the Caribbean. You don't really have that much time to go too far, because it takes time to get anywhere. You could do a walking photography tour if you like taking photos.

Listen to Alana33, TommySTX! I am over here in STT for a few days and am trying to figure out where to meet friends for lunch tomorrow! Amalie Cafe is delish but I may be more in the mood for Mexican at Greengo's downtown. Then, I am heading straight for Magen's! Only one ship in town at Havensite and I really need a Northside fix!!

DUUUUDDE go to GREENGOS in hibiscus alley. Trust me! Get taquitos and a bandido margarita. Thank me later.

I'd then go towards the airport, past it and go past the UVI and go to Brewers beach. Food truck there serves beer. Lime in the shade under sea grape trees on the far left, take a dip in the water and forget about the world for a while and watch the big planes come in. Yep. That's what I'd recommend! Ugh I am going to soooo miss STT!!! 🙁

Thanks for the suggestions! I've got some good options now. I guess I'll go with the one that best fits my mood that day. I'll post back on this thread next week and let you know how it went. 🙂

Finished my work. Ended up at Fish Tails by the ferry terminal for lunch.

AandA, took your advice and sitting at Brewers Beach with a beer before heading home. 🙂
