Hi All,
We are coming down to the isalnds for a month staying in an apartment in the Bolongo Bay area. The condo does not have internet and I definitely would like to be on line. How can I get one month of service. I have an Iphone and ATT said a wireless connection via my USB would require a 2 year contract. Will anyone on St. Thomas rent me any connectivity for a month?
Evan

If you have an unlimited data plan on your iPhone then you can use it to access the Internet. Follow directions to tether your iPhone to your laptop. Does not require JailBreaking your phone.

My iPhone is JailBroke and I use PdaNet. I get 1.2Mbps via usb to my iPhone.

there is a lot of information on tethering, however you need to downgrade to 3.0, which would void my warranty. The instructions are for a mac, and PC's are more difficult to work with. Any other suggestions on internet companies who might sell a month of service.

Both BroadbandVI and Choice offer short term service. With BroadbandVI if you can see one of their tower sites on your WiFi setup you can sign on for a fee.

Unfortunately, on STT/STJ we need to install a radio, which requires a 6 month commitment for Broadband VI to break even.
