Has Crutchfield been mentioned?

I think it has - but just in case, we ordered from them and shipping was less than $10.

I just clicked on QVC, and it's "free shipping day" (Thursday, 12/17). Not everything is free shipping, but a lot. Good day to check it out.

Actually appears to just be clothes.

Just an update on CVS - I just placed an order and you now need to use a credit card with a Stateside address - new rule 🙁

Pia

An update for this thread -- I just placed a CVS.com order using a USVI PO Box credit card billing address. It was accepted.

Good to know thank you - maybe they changed it back after they lost so much business from all of us here 🙂

I get my prescriptions mailed here from CVS with no shipping at all; just $7 for the scrip. Also, if you buy scrapbooking stuff, Paper Wishes will ship orders over $75 here for free.

Lisa, be careful if your prescriptions are anything that you rely on -- have a backup plan for the day that your parcel vanishes into a black hole somewhere between the states and here. I got lucky with prescriptions being delivered OK while I had them (no longer take any), but I know people who have been stuck when their expected deliveries did not show. It's smart planning to check with your local pharmacy to see if they stock your drugs before you need to have your physician call in an emergency scrip. I get a lot of parcels and about 95% of them show up fine, which is pretty good, but the remaining 5% have never been seen again....

Thanks, fdr -- I hadn't really thought of that. I'm just using up the last few refills before I switch to a new doctor here. I don't really have to take them... they're really just my "happy" pills. I suppose the only one who would really suffer if it was lost is my hubby! 😮

That's good -- still, not a good idea to run out of that stuff suddenly, though. Your stateside doc can call in a scrip to a pharmacy here if you have enough time to notify everyone, but hopefully nothing like that will happen! Just be prepared, in case.

Well, Advance Autoparts is out. They will no longer ship to "agents" (and according to them Mailboxes ETC or Red Hook Mail service is an "agent") so if you happen to use one of these - you are out of luck. Very unfortunate, as they were one of a few services that actually shipped auto parts here.

Partstrain.com will ship to VI Cargo but I had to jump through some hoops to order. I had to scan and email my credit card and drivers license (a little unsecure I realize). I also had to order through their chat box.

Soooo iritating.

I buy parts at a great price all the time from www.rockauto.com. They ship right to my door here in STX and their prices are typically the best I can find online. Also, after your first order, they'll send you a customer discount code so you can save a few % more on future orders.

1aauto.com will also ship parts here, even to a PO Box. They don't have everything, but they had what I needed last time!

Hey piaa -- The news about Sam's Club possibly shipping here next year is interesting. It's as close to Walmart as the VI is likely to get. Thanks for posting the information.

So no Walmart for the VI?
Bummer!

How does CVS shipping compare to Drugstore.com? I've done drugstore twice and it takes 3-4 weeks Minimum!

Generally, as far as prescriptions with CVS go, I can place an order online on a Sunday and receive it in approximately 8 or 9 days.

I always order enough for the free Priority Mail shipping and generally get my items about a week after ordering. The last couple of orders have taken longer (~2 days longer) to leave their warehouse though and for the last one I got an email saying they had a lot of orders and were backed up. I think too many people are discovering the convenience and pricing of this option...

As a new Keurig owner, I was extremely pleased to discover that Keurig will send K-cups (minimum order $50 or so) second day FedEx for FREE! And it really gets here in two days.

How do those of you that have received shipments from Amazon do it? I'm trying to order a product and they refuse to ship here.

This is where my product states it's being shipped from:
Condition: New
Sold by: Amazon.com, LLC
This item cannot be shipped to the address you selected

My ship to address is a physical address and not a PO.

Your thoughts?

Thank you.

Tippi I ship to my work address but have shipped to my home address as well. There are a few vendors that don't ship to the VI, then I ship VI Cargo. Double check all the address stuff if no go call the vendor

Bombi,

Thank you. I believe the product is being shipped from Amazon directly?

Does this mean Amazone or vendor?
Condition: New
Sold by: Amazon.com, LLC

The products combined probably weigh less than 6 pounds and could fit in a flat rate box.

Tippi,
Sometimes it depends on what the product is, not just the address. Some ingredients aren't legal to be shipped to the VI, so if it's liquid, cream, powder, etc., that could be the problem.

Juanita,

Ok thanks! Frustrating to say the least.

Have a Super Day.
