I don't see 6pm.com on this list yet. They used to not ship here at all a few years back, and now they have FREE shipping here! I just placed an order, couldn't believe it. They carry clothing, shoes, bags, sunglasses.

I am totally addicted to 6pm.com. A note on shopping their site…. put in your size when you sorting your options so you are not looking at a bunch of things that won't work for you. Took me a couple of times shopping on their site before I learned to do that and not get disappointed. They have a lot of items that they only have a few of, and many that they will only have in one size. And check for size guides as well because they do charge for return shipping.

Other than VI Cargo. Are there any other businesses that offer a Florida address and ship down by Air? We do this in the BVI and get our stuff overnight from the Miami address. That way you ship everything to Florida and it is automatically forwarded.

just looked up MyUS, it looks pretty interesting. How is the cost or does it really matter because now you can order from companies that do not ship here?

We've been using paradise freight too, but just had to ship some items, and checked prices there and at VI C, and found VI Cargo quoted much lower. Will see next week when we pick the stuff up, if the quotes held true.

Please let us know. Last time I used VI Cargo they cost was much higher on pickup than I was told over the phone. I only us Paradise Freight now.

Yes...I spoke with the lady Meme something or other a few weeks ago. They offer the same services are VI Cargo except to STT. They had a banner ad running on VI Moving Center up to just recently. Check with Islander...he would know.

VI Cargo got our items to stx, and their price was in line with what they had told me before we shipped. One item was a dishwasher, and Paradise told me over $200, where VIC told me about $70. I think it cost $78. We also shipped some pool stuff, and the shipping was between $60 and $70.
At one point when we used Paradise their pickup price was much higher than their estimate, so I am really not comfortable with either one, you just never know the real price till it arrives.

Lacoste.com offers free shipping here. Not someplace I would have thought; they had a beach towel I liked so I investigated. Summer sale is on now, too.

Pet Food Direct just dumped the VI. They used to ship here (you had to put VA as the state code), but about a month ago they quit shipping here. They neglected to tell at least some of their VI Auto Ship customers about the change.

Ha, we use to employ the same process with PFD but noticed a couple of months ago that it no longer worked and we had to ship through Paradise Freight! Another cost to living here!

As to VI Cargo versus Paradise Freight, they both charge about the same price per cubic foot (around $5) so there should NEVER be a large discrepancy in the cost. It's a matter of service and IMO, Paradise Freight is tops on that.

Well, I got totally different prices when giving both VIC and PF the same dimensions etc on my dishwasher...have also gotten higher pricing from PF when picking up other items, than what they quoted before the shipment. Would prefer to deal with them as a local company, but not if it's going to cost me 3 times the price.

So far I have found CVS, Bloomingdales, and Charlotte Russe that have free shipping. Thanks for all the suggestions y'all!

For those businesses that do not ship directly to us on St Croix, there is now an option to have your parcels forwarded from Miami via the USPS. Of course, your parcel must meet their regulations...

PM me if you would like more info.

Thanks!
