Just wondering if anyone had any experiences (good and bad) with these two particular child care establishments: Happy Faces Academy in Peters Rest and Kids Can Do It in Richmond, Christiansted area. I am currently looking at these two childcare centers for my infant, plan on doing tours to see the atmosphere for myself, but if anyone has any insight or experience with these places it would be a great help! Thanking you in advance.

Happy Faces has a good reputation. Very nice facility aesthetically, clean and modern.

I know Barbara, the woman who owns Happy Faces. She is an absolute dream of a woman and teacher. She's warm, loving, dedicated to kids. If I had pre-school age children that is where they would go.

Please please please do NOT send your kids to happy faces.   Sharlene is the owner.  After an issue with my child (not being fed for 8 hrs without notifying parents) that she handed extremely poorly I left and she never returned my money.  Kids there are sick all the time.  Teachers are late.  The ratio of kids to teachers is awful.  Things get lost or mixed up all the time.  They only notify  moms (if at all) and never dads.  They place infants face down in crib which is known be a risk for sudden infant death syndrome.  They microwave bottles even when you ask them not to.  The worse is the owners attitude when something goes wrong.  Unprofessional.  Poor customer service.

Kids can do it has a boulder in playground that a kid fell off and needed stiches.  Never got their money back.   Not kid friendly.  Good luck with finding any decent daycare on island.

I had my child in Kids Can Do It for about two years. I would recommend them.
