The last we wrote we requested info on two builders on STX and you guys were great with your thoughts. To date, we seem to be doing better at getting the contractors to respond. (Although they seem to be responding better to
my husband than to myself.) Does anyone out there know of Premier Homes. They seem to build turnkey homes at fairly reasonable prices but I would like local input. Thanks for your help Charlie

Good afternoon, I have spoken to PH and asked for a price on a set of plans and they responded quickly and the price seemed reasonable, however they use the RASTA system and the long order and shipping time (16 weeks) made me explore other alternatives. If you are in the planning stages and have time they may be a good choice. The owner has been here a long time and seems very professional. I hope that helps.

I spoke with them about building a home and was impressed.

Once the site has been selected and land improvements made the guarantee a price, Also if they miss the promised delivery date they will pay liquidated damages.

I was floored. In the VI this is practically unheard of.

I was also impressed with the Rasta block building system.

Still considering my options so I haven't really gotten into negotiations with them or checked their references.

Jim

A Jamaican building system?
Nope..it's "Rastra," not "rasta." 🙂

www.rastra.com
Interesting stuff.
Wonder if it's hurricane rated.
