Im just curious why our hospitals are separate semi-autonomous facilities. Does anyone think that if the two hospitals merge, can any good come out of this?

IMHO, I do not believe that anyone who posts on this message board has the expertise to even discuss a topic such as Hospital mergers.

Often hospitals merge for economy of scale in purchasing and to share specialized equipment. Not helpful betweeen two separate, distant islands.

How about this: If something is sensible, reasonable or cost-effective, it will not possibly work in the VI.;)
