Does anyone know the contact number for a post office on St. Thomas that has P.O. boxes for rent. I will be in temporary lodging for a couple of months and need an address to forward my mail while Im waiting to close on a house.

David,
Depends on what side of the island - for east end it is Red Hook Mail Serivce - 779-1890 - call them and they will give you more information.

Hello David,

The main post office for St. Thomas is the Sugar Estate Post Office and their number is (340)774-1950. I do believe there are waiting list at the main post office branches of which there are 5 on St. Thomas but certainly call and ask. Also ask whether you can send your items General Delivery to the main post office and what the procedure is for that. The alternative to the regular post office is the mail service places like the one Pamela suggested.

Chances are wherever you end up, you will prefer to get your mail at a PO box. Most people do. Postal delivery to a mail box, at your house, takes on a new meaning around here. It's better to just go and check your mail.

I understand there is a waiting list for PO Boxes at many of the USVI post offices. I found out there is a Mailboxes Etc./IUPS Store that also offers mailboxes on St. Croix. Are there any Crucians out there who can comment on using Mailboxes Etc. for mail delivery?

Thanks,
The HipCrip

Hi Ronnie!

We'll be staying with you at the VF this summer. Do your residents usually recieve there mail there? Or is there a postal service that you would recommend that is close by?

Thanks!
