The Soggy Dollar is actually on Jost Van Dyke at White Bay. Yes the drinks are good.

You can get a Painkiller pretty much anywhere. Pusser's rum, pineapple juice, a little creme de coco and a splash of orange juice. Shake it up and sprinkle grated nutmeg on top. You can obviously use a different rum, if you prefer and you can adjust proportions to your liking. Enjoy!

Soggy dollar has some of the best roti's, but I dont remember the painkillers being memorable. White Bay however is, Highly recommed it. Take some pictures on the cliff before you go down the hill for some really beautiful shots.

The painkillers that we had in road at Pussers were almost to me, because they were incredibly strong. I know some enjoy that so it you do I would go there.

There are good bartenders on all the islands however there are also some very bad ones. This whole business about who created what drink first (much like who made the hook bracelet first) is more advertising then anything else.

No one has mentioned how you normally order a painkiller. When I chartered in the BVI's when we ordered a painkiller we followed up with a number 1-4. The number coincided with the number of shots of rum you wanted in it. I would ask for a number 3 otherwise the drink was to sweet.

Betty you must have had a number 4 or at least something higher then 1.

Did anyone achieve bringing home a Pusser's Flag? If you get a card punched enough you qualified for a flag.

Cheers

Actually I had the 1, I'm always cautious with new bartenders. Like I said the caribean has some great bartenders but it also has ones that have never worked in a bar before and tend to stink at it.

Pussers is the only restr that I know of that has that gimmick of the one thru four before, seems like a cutsy marketing thing for tourists. The old Styx used to do that with their hurricane drinks you could order it category 1 thru 5 which I'm sure has been done before as well.

Painkiller is a very strong drink but IMO it shouldnt taste like it, at least not overly so.
