Good Afternoon,
I have been planning to move to St. Thomas and am hoping to make that happen by late September. My husband is French and will be looking for employment as a dive instructor once we arrive. He speaks English fairly well and is improving everyday by taking English classes. I was hoping to get information about the French speaking community on the Island. I would love for him to be able to speak his native langauge more often than he can in Delaware!!
Any information would be very appreciated.

I know there is a French Club, but I don't know any of the details. They used to meet weekly at Oceana which is a restaurant in Frenchtown. Maybe you could call there and ask them about it.
The phone number is 340-774-4262.

Yes, the French club does meet on Thursday around 5:45 PM, usually at Oceana, although we sometimes have some fun outings elsewhere. I just started attending and it's a great time. The club has very recently become as an Alliance Francaise chapter, giving the group nonprofit status as well as ties to other chapters. I know that we will be offering French classes soon, so if your husband is interested in teaching, let us know!
