Island boy moving to St. John... info?

I'm on my way to St. John in a couple of weeks, and just throwing this out to see if any locals have any information that they think I might need to know. I spent a good part of my life on the Hawaiian Islands, so island life in general is no mystery to me.

I'm 26, pretty open and really easy going. What can anyone tell me that's unique about St. John or the Virgin Islands in general?

What and where is good? What and where is bad? What should I make "musts" on my journey?
