I know this has been discussed before, but if I remember correctly, the only places discussed were high end salons like Carambola, the Buccaneer, etc. (Tried to find the old thread but no luck there.) There must be regular hole-in-the-wall nail salons for those of us who aren't interested in spending $50 for a pampering session but just want our toes to look decent. Here in Phoenix, I'd expect to pay $40 and up for a pedicure at a fancy salon, but there's a little place near my house that just does a basic little pedicure for $20. Is there anything like that on STX, or do you have to go to one of the big resorts?

I absolutely love Nails Time. I go to the one at Golden Rock, but there's also one in Sunny Isle. It's not $20, though. I've never paid less than $30 even in the states, which is what they charge for a Spa Pedicure (with razor) at Nails Time. My daughter and I are getting ours tomorrow. 😀

Thanks, Lisa. Yes, I think I've been spoiled in Phoenix... all the nail places (aside from resorts) are super cheap. $20 seems to be the going rate for a pedicure, and $10 for a manicure. But you're right -- the rest of the mainland seems to be more like $30. I'll probably be doing more do-it-yourselfers with professional pedicures as an occasional treat. It's also a good excuse to get together with a girlfriend or two! (Cute that you go with your daughter -- lucky girl to have such a cool mom. I have a friend who dragged her 12 year old son out for a pedicure (sans polish, of course), with much complaining, as you might imagine. Turns out he loved it and wants to go back all the time!)
